About the event

**NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, STEP BY STEP INSTUCTIONS PROVIDED THROUGHOUT**

All the materials needed to create your masterpiece will be provided.

Looking for something completely unique to do? Look no further! The perfect occasion to spend a fun couple of hours with a friend, family member or a date. Also, a fabulous solo-date you will meet and mingle with like-minded creatives.

Join our Nude Model Sculpting Sessions and learn the art of sculpting a figure out of clay under the expert guidance of Nina, specialist figurative ceramicist.

Don't worry if you're a beginner, Nina will provide step-by-step instructions to help you create a stunning sculpture that you'll be proud to take home as well as all the materials needed.

This innovative workshop takes life drawing to a whole new level, providing a unique opportunity to explore your creativity with a timeless art form: ceramic sculpting.

The sessions celebrate diversity and body positivity, as each class features a different nude model, showcasing a range of body types, sexes, races, ages and LGBQTIA+.

Discover the therapeutic benefits of working with clay as you tune in to your creativity, gaining a deeper appreciation for the human form and its diverse beauty.  In these sessions, you will truly experience a break from the outside world and enter a meditative state when sculpting with the clay. Leave with a unique sculpture that you are genuinely proud of!

This event will be taking place in Seesaw's lovely basement space in the heart of the city centre right next to Gay Village.

This venue is access friendly with access friendly toilets and a lift.

Food and drinks (both alcoholic and non) are available to buy on site.

Here is a general oversight of how the session runs.

6:15 pm: people start to arrive, in this time you can use the kitchen to make a hot drink and help yourselves to some of the sweet treats provided and generally settle in for the upcoming session.

6:30pm: The workshop begins

6:55pm: The model takes a break for 5 minutes (and will continue to do that throughout the session, every 25 minutes, once they have had a break, we ask that they rotate the same pose by 90 degrees so that everyone will have the chance to see them from every angle throughout).

7pm: Nina will walk around and offer some refreshments.

*:30pm: The session will end at which point you will be given the option to take your sculptures home directly with you in a provided bag and box or for an extra £10 you can pay to have your sculpture fired in the kiln. The collection point will be from Hope Mill in Ancoats, however if you have travelled far, you can request postage (additional charges will apply, usually around £6).

There are no set breaks during the workshop, however if you feel like you need to take one that’s absolutely fine, or if you would like to walk around and see the model from a different angle that Is also absolutely okay!

Note: Please be thoughtful that this is a respectful, creative, and educational environment and to treat others, especially the nude model, as such!

Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

In-session rules:

No photography of the nude model (unless instructed otherwise)

No touching the nude model

No asking the model on dates
